Author : Amb. Abubakar Danladi Ibrahim
When dark clouds sob
the skies quiver with rag
e a cloudburst blessing
land with liquid sprays
hardened earth softens
Farmers hasten to the fields
sowing seeds of life
fields grow heavy
seedlings sprouting
wild
stalks firmly rooted
On the fields
variety of grains
spring
After months of toil
a bumper harvest
Farmers return
bearing a broad grin
