The Angle Of Life

-Amb Maid Čorbić

I measure the parameters of destiny mathematically

as I sit and long in black

My days are no longer the same

when I no longer have you in my life

I cry; I’m counting my teeth for God

I’m expecting a third shift

The angle I have is one hundred and eighty degrees

I live; I don’t even know why

so in sorrow I light black candles

The smell of incense floods my nostrils

fiercely bloodthirsty – I die intriguingly

for love I also gave my soul

what good is it when I’m not yours?

I hide around the corner

little friend; not worth crying about

for happiness that will not me

with a cigar and a sledgehammer in hand – I welcome the day.
