My Grandma’s Arms

-Tshering Wangchuk

Grandma’s arms a place of solace

With those amiable eyes focused on me

There’s warmth in your snugly hugs

Warms me more than a cottony rugs

I shall not fear about anything

Peace embraces me when you sing

Your songs a soothing lullaby

To a disturbed soul of me

Can’t imagine the speeding days

Life’s impermanent, the death says

Thinking this, my heart secretly cries

More when the days quickly flies

I shall have my faith strong

With optimism, nothing’s gonna wrong

I shall utilise every second I get

To love my grandma not to forget.
